Google: Keyword-Stuffed URLs have NO SEO Effect



Keyword-stuffing in URLs is basically a black hat SEO technique. Many published spam targeted keywords in their article permalink to get better results in search rankings.

However, this method has no advantage.

Google’s John Muller confirms that keyword-stuffing in URLs has no effect in terms of SEO rankings. he also added that “it basically has no effect, positive or negative for search engines.”

He also said, “it’s a good practice to mention your keywords in the URL, but the effect is minimal.” As per his viewpoint focusing on keywords in the URL is “often the wrong prioritization” of your SEO efforts.
