Twitter launches Search Keywords Ads to all advertisers as a beta test

Twitter launches new Search Keywords Ads to allow all advertisers to promote ads for Twitter search results. With this Twitter Search Keywords Ads feature advertisers now will be able to promote sponsored tweets for targeted search queries on Twitter.

For now, Twitter announced this as a beta test.

Twitter posted “Now advertisers can bid to insert Promoted Tweets solely among specific search results, reaching people with high real-time intent & improving ad relevance.

They also mentioned that millions of people use Twitter search for what’s happening every day. So this new feature will allow advertisers to promote their ads to a wider audience.

Current advertisers can access the Search Keywords Ads feature from the ‘campaign objective’ in the Twitter Ads interface.

As stated by Twitter, this will help advertisers with high real-time intent & improving ad relevance.

Twitter mentioned that Search Keywords Ads are different from other Twitter Keywords campaigns. As Search Keywords Ads only target audiences who are searching for targeted terms, it gives a stronger signal of intent to the ad algorithms.

Twitter intends to expand this capability to support other campaign objectives soon.

Recently, we found that Twitter lost its 500 top advertisers in 3 months since Elon Musk’s takeover. So, this new feature seems to be a good hook to hold the current advertisers present on twitter.
